MEET KELSY Registered Psychologist

In my counselling practice, I believe that self-awareness and self-understanding are fundamental for empowerment and change. I endeavor to apply a collaborative approach with each client in order to build a shared understanding of themselves and the concerns that they bring to each session. I recognize that understanding in itself does not always result in the desired change, and work to address barriers to client goals using trauma-informed interventions.

In addition to counselling services, I offer formal psychological assessments to children, teenagers, and adults. As psychological assessment is a newer area of practice for me, I assess under the supervision of another Registered Psychologist.

Kelsy began working in the field of psychology as a school counsellor in elementary, junior high, and high schools in remote regions of Alberta. Her role entailed implementing emotion regulation programs and providing mental health education and support to parents, teachers, and students.

Upon registering as a psychologist, Kelsy entered into private practice and focused her work on counselling with adolescents and adults. Most recently Kelsy has begun to expand her scope of practice to include psychological assessment.
